Largo Lions Support Blind and Visually Impaired Children

Largo LionsThe Largo Lions Club once again sponsored the Lighthouse of Pinellas Annual Family Picnic and Egg Hunt. The members of the Lions Club generously provided a bounce house, prizes for the children and a delicious lunch on Saturday, March 12th at Johns S. Taylor Park. It was a beautiful and relaxing day for families and children to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the onset of the spring season.

The Lighthouse of Pinellas provides services and support to children who are blind and visually impaired and their families. The egg hunt is adapted with beeping eggs for those children who are totally blind so that everyone has a chance to participate to the best of their ability. The Lighthouse of Pinellas, a non-profit agency that has been providing services within our community to the blind and visually impaired for 60 years, depends upon community support to provide its’ clients with community activities in addition to the services provided by the Lighthouse.

Many thanks to the Largo Lions Club for making the Lighthouse of Pinellas’ Annual Family Picnic and Egg Hunt a huge success! It was truly an egg-cellent day!
