Ways to Support Lighthouse of Pinellas

Living without depending on others starts with you.

Since 1956, the Lighthouse of Pinellas has been a safe haven for individuals with blindness and vision loss. But our work has never been more relevant or vital than it is today. A study by the National Eye Institute stated that one in three Americans over the age of 65 will be faced with a vision-impairing eye disease. It’s a staggering statistic, and the need for Lighthouse services have never been greater.

New vision technology, smart phones and apps have changed the game for people with vision impairments. A new level of independence is a reality and many residents are looking to the Lighthouse for training. Make a donation today to support people in our community with vision loss so they can achieve their  dream to work and live independently.

Won’t you join us in our mission today?

Here’s how your gift can change a life.

$100 Educational materials to help children learn to care for themselves independently.

$200 Assistive technology instruction on smartphones, tablets, computer software, etc.

$500 Five orientation and mobility training sessions to teach clients how to travel safely & independently in their homes and in the community.

$1000 Six-week Independent Living Skills Class for one client to learn basic skills to remain independent and safe at home.

Your donation of any amount will be used where it’s needed most.
