We are super excited to announce the inaugural Lighthouse of Pinellas Limelight Employee Recognition award winners!
Congratulations to Jessica Tomlinson, M. Ed, CVRT, CATIS, Rehabilitation Instructor and Meri Taylor, CVRT, CATIS, Program Manager on being the recipients of this month’s award.
Jessica recently passed the CATIS exam which stands for Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist. CATIS, is a newer area of certification in the field of visual impairments. A CATIS is defined by the Academy of Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) as “a highly trained expert who specializes in working with individuals who are blind, visually impaired or who have functional visual limitations and empowers them to achieve their life goals for education, employment, avocation and independence through the use of assistive technology.”
Meri oversees the critical programs at Lighthouse of Pinellas. On top of her already busy schedule she has been supporting her team and the organization by handling responsibilities for two vacant case management positions that are in the process of being filled. Meri’s staff says that her presence and support allows them to be successful in their positions and they appreciate everything she does for them and the clients. Meri always goes above and beyond and her dedication and attitude inspire her colleagues, clients and volunteers.
Congratulations to both winners!
