Join us for an hour to explore the world of vision loss.
Get a behind-the-scenes tour of how Lighthouse of Pinellas teaches, supports and empowers people of all ages with vision loss so they can achieve their greatest potential and pursue their personal aspirations in life. We promise you’ll come away with a new perspective on what it’s like to live with a vision impairment and the myriad of opportunities and programs available to our clients.
In addition to learning about the many programs and services available at Lighthouse of Pinellas, you will participate in some of these hands-on simulated activities:
- Try doing a few everyday tasks using glasses that simulate various eye diseases
- Experiment with assistive technology on computers and smart phones
- Look through special simulation glasses to see what the world looks like to people with various eye diseases
- Use a white cane with a blindfold
- Experience an activity through the eyes of a child with vision impairment
Join a regularly scheduled tour or, schedule a private tour for your group.
Private Tours
If you are part of a group, club, organization, class or have more than 10 friends who want to attend the 20/20 Experience together, we offer a private tour tailored to your group at a time and date that is convenient to you and the Lighthouse.
