Thank You, Hancock Whitney!

Thank You, Hancock Whitney!

The Lighthouse Teen Transition Program is sincerely thankful for Hancock Whitney and their generous $10,000 grant to help support the teen Career Exploration Project (CEP). CEP teaches STEM skills including exposure to Robotics and 3D Printing with a focus on problem-solving and team building skills. The Hancock Whitney grant provided Lighthouse of Pinellas the means to purchase Lego Mindstorm Robotics kits and 4 TEVO Tornado 3D Printers!

“Lighthouse of Pinellas will launch our STEM Club in March. This is an expansion of our Programming Club and will feature Robotics and 3D Printing studies,” said Jason Druding, Lighthouse Strategic Services Director.

“The overall CEP project is an avenue for Career Exploration and Workforce Development for our clients. We are excited that we can also open the project to teens in the community. All of us here at Lighthouse of Pinellas are grateful to Hancock Whitney for their support,” Druding added.

Hancock Whitney representatives visited with Lighthouse staff on Thursday, January 9 to personally deliver a grant check to Lighthouse President and CEO, Kim Church. The Hancock Whitney ream also had the opportunity to meet and talk with Lighthouse of Pinellas client, Laura.
