For those who are interested in learning more about our services, Lighthouse of Pinellas offers two types of tours.
20/20 Tours
For groups of 20 to 40
Geared towards community service providers, ALF groups, and ILF groups
Get an immersive, experiential tour showcasing how Lighthouse of Pinellas staff teach, support, and empower Pinellas residents of all ages with vision loss.
We promise you’ll come away with a new perspective on the capabilities of those with visual impairment and the myriad services and opportunities available to our clients.
In addition to learning about the many services available, tour attendees will participate in hands-on, simulated activities:
- Try a few everyday tasks with a blindfold or glasses that simulate various eye conditions
- Experiment with assistive technology on computers and smart phones
- Use a white cane with a blindfold
- Experience an activity through the eyes of a child with vision impairment
We offer four 20/20 Tours each year (quarterly) on Wednesday mornings. Depending on group size, the tour will be from 1 to 1½ hours.

Private Tours
Our private tours are for individuals and small groups who want to learn more about our services and how they positively impact the community. These tours are typically tailored to the participant’s specific areas of inquiry. Please note that private tours are informational and do not provide hands-on activities.
